The Sister Jose Women's Center in Tucson, AZ was started in 2010 to honor the legacy of Sister Jose' Hobday. Today, it provides a place where homeless women can be sheltered, nourished, and nurtured in a welcoming and safe environment.
The J.O.Y. Women's Ministry actively supports this shelter in several ways. A cash donation is made every month to help support the financial needs of this shelter. And, at Christmas of 2021, the 40 homeless women sheltered there each received a Christmas stocking filled with 2 pair of socks, a crocheted hat, a Bible, and a candy cane. These women were also treated to a hearty Christmas dinner... all made possible by the J.O.Y. Women's Ministry.
