Backpacks and School Supplies For Children
The Backpack Ministry is a once-a-year event. Starting in June we ask for donations so that we can buy and fill backpacks for children in need who are going back to school in late July or August.
All children in our congregation are eligible if they need a new backpack. We also see that all of our foster children are supplied. Beyond that, we try to help any child brought to our attention who needs assistance.
Many of these children in our fellowship can use their backpacks year-after-year, in which case we supply them with school supplies to refill their backpacks.
