Pantano Baptist Church is blessed to have such an active women’s ministry that  serves others in so many unselfish ways. The J.O.Y. Women’s Ministry of Pantano Baptist Church is the driving force behind many of the ministries, missions, and fellowship events that happen at our church on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. The purpose of the J.O.Y Women's Ministry appears below in their mission statement...

... to encourage fellowship and uplift others in the love of Christ. Our desire is to create an atmosphere where women are comfortable, motivated to serve others, and experience God regardless of their age; To reach out in our community with the gospel and to enrich the lives of women through this ministry with Bible studies and special events, service, and fellowship with the goal of helping meet the needs of women and girls within the church, community, and throughout the world.

Their efforts range from simple acts of thoughtfulness to complicated projects that require extensive planning, co-ordination, and execution.

At the simple end of the spectrum, J.O.Y. sends a thoughtful, personal birthday greeting to every member of our church family on their birthday to remind them that they are loved and appreciated.

At the complex end of the spectrum, J.O.Y women support Dress-A-Girl International by meeting every month to create dresses from scratch for needy girls all over the world, and they create as many dresses as their resources will permit. They have created thousands of dresses over the years, and more are created each and every month and shipped to countries all over the world.

Socks for the Homeless is an annual project that collects socks for local homeless shelters in our local community, as socks are the most requested item at virtually every homeless shelter.

Whether manning the kitchen for 5th Sunday potluck meals, or organizing special events like movie matinees and craft days, the dedicated members of the J.O.Y. Women’s Ministry can be counted on for support.

You can find a complete list of missions, ministries, and fellowship events elsewhere on this website, and J.O.Y is involved to some degree in just about every one of them!

While J.O.Y does an amazing job, they can always use more help. If you are interested in joining this dedicated group, just contact the church office.
